LIEUTENANT TONY WOOTEN 

Lieutenant Tony Wooten is the immediate supervisor of the CHAMPS / School Resource Officer unit of the sheriff’s office. Lt. Wooten began his career in public safety in 1998 when he became a detention officer for the Dawson County Sheriff's Office. Lt. Wooten served as a patrol officer and a school resource officer before being promoted to sergeant. Currently, he is the public information officer for the sheriff's office and serves as the coalition leader for the SAFE Kids of Georgia in Dawson County coalition.
