Records Request

To obtain records or information under Georgia’s Open Records Act, individuals are required to submit a written request. The request should include essential details such as the incident’s date and time, the requester’s name, contact number, return address, and the specific Georgia or Federal Public Information or Record Law being cited for the information request.

Charges may apply for certain request types, and if applicable, we will notify you before proceeding with the request. To minimize administrative and copying charges, kindly provide a specific description of the records you are requesting. For instance, specify whether you are requesting 911 records, arrest reports, incident reports, accident reports, or provide detailed information about the type of information you seek.
I acknowledge that, as per O.C.G.A. § 50-18-71, I may incur administrative, supply, and copying fees associated with the search, retrieval, copying, and supervision of access to the requested documents. The administrative fee is calculated at the hourly rate of the lowest-paid full-time employee qualified to respond to my request, with no charge for the initial fifteen minutes required to address the request. A detailed cost breakdown will be provided to outline all expenses related to fulfilling this request. I hereby accept responsibility for covering all associated copying and administrative costs for my open records request.
